Welcome! We at St. Michael Parish are so excited to journey with your family to the sacraments of initiation into our faith!
The sacraments of Christian initiation - Baptism, Confirmation and the Eucharist - lay the foundations of every Christian life. Let us journey together deeper into the richness of our faith.
Welcome to the family! Baptism is our first sacrament of initiation and welcomes us into our world-wide Catholic family. In Baptism, we become members of the Body of Christ, sisters and brothers of our Redeemer, and children of God.
At baptism, our personal life story is submerged in the stream of God's love.
Welcome to mercy! Preparation for the reception of First Reconciliation (confession) is an exciting time! Together, we will focus on the love and mercy of our God. In our classroom, our children will learn that God cares for us and longs to forgive us when we do something wrong. This celebration opens our hearts to the mercy of our loving God!
Welcome to the table! What a journey to walk with our children as they prepare to receive the Lord Jesus for the very first time! Our children receive sacramental preparation in the Generations of Faith classroom, combined with practice sessions to make sure they are comfortable in the church and ready to receive nourishment on the journey of faith.
Welcome to the outpouring of the Holy Spirit! As the last sacrament of initiation, Confirmation seals the baptized person with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Confirmation, then, completes what has already begun in each of us at baptism, and helps prepare us for a life continued in service to God and others.
